Cotton in four colours, with cream floral lace across the hem and both cuffs. The lace is scalloped at the edge and worked over with pearl beads and fine sequins, close enough together that it catches light when you move your hands.

Each colour changes how the lace reads. Against navy the cream looks almost white, which is why that one looks dressed even when you have done nothing else. Honey is deep and warm. Sage is cool rather than bright, close to the colour of dry mint. On silver the lace is worked white on white, so the detail is tonal rather than contrasting.

We made one in each size, in each colour. Not one of each in a warehouse somewhere. One.

Cotton is the reason you can wear this in August. It breathes, it sits away from the skin, and it does not hold heat the way a synthetic does. The V neckline and full sleeves mean there is nothing to negotiate before you leave the house, and the side slits let it sit easily over jeans or a straight trouser.
