Vertical stripes in mixed widths, dark to pale and back again, running unbroken from shoulder to hem. It is the oldest trick in dressing and still the most reliable, because a long vertical line lengthens everything it sits on. Tiny silver rhinestones are scattered over the stripe, catching the light without announcing themselves.

The fabric is a stretchable jersey with a fine vertical rib. All three pieces stretch, so the set has real give, holds its shape through a day of sitting, and does not need ironing to look right.

One size. There is no size to choose and nothing to get wrong. The cut is relaxed through the body and the fabric stretches both ways, so it works across a range. The shrug is open at the front and the palazzo has an elasticated waist, which is why this fits far wider than a single size normally would.
