Chiffon, pleated in a fine chevron that runs from the waist to the floor. The pleats catch light down one side and hold shadow down the other, so the skirt is never flat even when you are standing still, and the whole thing lifts and settles as you move.

It covers completely and does not read as a compromise. Floor length, full through the hem, opaque where it needs to be with a sheer chiffon layer over the top that only shows at the very bottom. Nothing to adjust, nothing to check before you leave.

The waist is elasticated and finished with a gold buckle at the front, so it sits where you put it and stays there through a long evening.
